​Now is your chance to become a volunteer at your child's school. One Tuesday a month, for about an hour will afford you the opportunity to help make a difference. Just some of the improvements made because of the leadership of the Site Committees are: Revitalizing Recess, Imagination Playground and the Peaceful Playground at Dows Lane; the development of the Community Garden, the Community Playground and improvements to indoor/outdoor recess at Main Street; creation of the Insider's Guide to IMS, making revisions to the Student Handbook and recommendations for beautification of the Middle School, and enhancing the senior internship experience and the development of the Core Value Awards program at the High School.
Dows Lane, Main Street School, the Middle School and the High School are each in need Site Committee Members.  If you would like further information, please review the Shared Decision Making Plan by clicking here, or if you wish to volunteer, please contact Donna Friedlander at donna.friedlander@irvingtonschools.org. Please include the name of the school where you are interested in becoming a Site Committee member and remember that you must have a child in that school in order to be eligible.

Please donate new, unwrapped toys and gifts for school aged children and teens. Suggested items: dolls, Legos, board games, accessories for tween girls (jewelry, pocketbooks, etc.) arts & crafts, outdoor/sports items.  Donations should be dropped off in the Dows Lane or Main Street School lobbies.  Cash donations are also welcome.  Cash should be brought to the main office of your school in a labeled/sealed envelope.  Thank you for helping those in need!

All parents with students in the Irvington schools are welcome. Adults only, please.
 
The Special Needs Committee is a group of parents interested in coming together to discuss different aspects of having a student with special needs, which means having an IEP, 504 plan, building level services, accommodations, or any school or home based service.
