The parent volunteers in this program are trained to provide biographical and historical information, instruct the children about the elements of art and analyze with the children how artists use these elements of art in their paintings to convey a message. In conjunction with the presentation, the children also do an art project inspired by the particular artist. The children are given a bookmark with images of the paintings they analyze. Please visit: http://www.irvingtonnyptsa.org/eyes-on-art.html so you can share the artist's biographical information and a word search with your children.
