EYES ON ART PRESENTATION
In its 13th year in the Irvington School District, the PTSA’s Eyes on Art Program is excited to present in November, German Abstract Artist Paul Klee and in February, American Realist Painter Edward Hopper.
The parent volunteers in this program are trained to provide biographical and historical information, instruct the children about the elements of art and analyze with the children how artists use these elements of art in their paintings to convey a message.
In conjunction with the presentation, the children also do an art project inspired by the particular artist. The children are given a bookmark with images of the paintings they analyze.
Please visit: http://www.irvingtonnyptsa.org/eyes-on-art.html so you can share biographical information on the artist and a word search with your children. Also provided is a list of current art exhibitions in the New York Metro area.
For more information about this program, you may contact Robin Price Powell, Director, Eyes on Art at: email@example.com.
