The Irvington NY PTSA conducts our advocacy work through a series of strategic committees, led by chairs and staffed by volunteers. Our strategic committees include:
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion CommitteeThe DEI Committee's mission is to foster an inclusive community in which every student feels safe, welcomed and is able to thrive.
Green CommitteeThe PTSA Green Committee is a newly formed committee of active, environmentally interested parents. Our mission is to create a vibrant community of voices that will inspire and support the school community in making positive changes to sustain our natural environment.
Rivertown ParentsOur mission is to promote and foster communication in the Rivertowns among parents, students and schools and to provide educational resources to our communities. We strive to build a stronger Rivertown Community and to educate in the area of parenting and child-rearing.
Supporting Children and Families with Learning Differences (SCALFD) CommitteeOur intent is to serve all our children who learn differently at school —and to support and connect their families.
Walking School Bus CommitteeA walking school bus works like a carpool, with parent volunteers “driving” the group. Parents teach the rules of the road, and parent volunteer coordinators help with the route logistics.
Program Committees
As a PTSA, we also have dozens of other committees and small working groups focused on delivering amazing and impactful events for students, schools and families throughout the year. You can learn more about what we offer and the leaders of those committees on our Programs page.
Join us in our work to bring out the best in Irvington schools.
