A major role of the PTSA is to advocate on behalf of our members and the school community around important issues. We do this in two ways: through our monthly Parent Advisory Committee meetings and through our volunteer-led Advocacy committees.
Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)
Each month, PTSA school representatives meet with the leadership team of their school to bring forward anonymous concerns from the community. Responses are documented via monthly published PAC meetings.
Advocacy Committees
We also sponsor volunteer-led committees which advocate for issues important to our school community. These include:
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion CommitteeThe DEI Committee's mission is to foster an inclusive community in which every student feels safe, welcomed and is able to thrive.
|
Green CommitteeThe PTSA Green Committee is a newly formed committee of active, environmentally interested parents. Our mission is to create a vibrant community of voices that will inspire and support the school community in making positive changes to sustain our natural environment.
|
Supporting Children and Families with Learning Differences (SCALFD) CommitteeOur intent is to serve all our children who learn differently at school —and to support and connect their families.
