What is the Bulldog Family Fund?

The PTSA Bulldog Family Fund (BFF) supports the needs of families in our school district who are income eligible for free or reduced lunch (FRL), or in temporary financial need. 
  • In New York State, eligibility for FRL translates to an annual income of between $39,000 and $55,000 for a family of four*.
  • One in 12 students in the Irvington Union Free School District are income eligible for free or reduced lunch. 
  • In 2023-24 the BFF provided $30,000 in financial and material resources to families with financial need.

How Can Families Request BFF Support?

Families can request confidential assistance from the BFF by contacting a school social worker or completing this form:
While families typically enroll with the BFF at the start of the school year, the BFF recognizes that a family’s financial situation can change anytime, so support is available throughout the school year, when the need arises.

How Does the BFF Fulfill Requests?

  • A family contacts social worker to request BFF support. 
  • Social worker submits a confidential and anonymous funding request to the BFF.
  • BFF supplies gift cards or goods to the social worker who provides them to the family.
Only the social workers have direct contact with the families requesting BFF support. The names or identities of the students or families are NEVER disclosed to the Irvington NY PTSA or the BFF administrators.

The Bulldog Family Fund is solely funded by generous donations from the Irvington community. Every dollar donated to the BFF is directed to meet the needs of students and families in financial need. You can support the BFF by making a donation.
