2022 Read-A-Thon Starts Soon!

Each year, the Irvington NY PTSA hosts a read-a-thon event to help get kids excited about and engaged in reading. As an added benefit, the read-a-thon event helps raise money for our community. Last year, Irvington kids read for over 76,000 minutes and raised more than $30,000 for our schools!

This year’s Read-a-thon starts Monday January 31, 2022.

This week, we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress. Please check your child’s backpack for details.

We encourage you to activate your reader’s account today by clicking below and following the simple instructions.​

We've chosen Read-a-thon.com as our service provider this year because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.

Once your account is activated, you’ll have the opportunity to share this Read-a-thon with friends and family to encourage them to support your reader. You can return to your dashboard anytime to check donation status and log reading minutes. Remember, this K-5 focused event starts on Monday, January 31 and runs through February 11, 2022.
